Gene Thomas began his musical career in the 1990s as the frontman of the popular dance group X-Session, scoring hits such as “On and On”, “Say Yeah” and “Come Together.” His charisma and powerful voice quickly made him a fan favourite throughout Flanders.
In the 2000s, Gene launched a successful solo career as a singer-songwriter in Dutch. His breakthrough came with the hit “Kom wat dichterbij” (“Come a Little Closer”), followed by classics such as “Voor haar” (“For Her”), “Dat ze de mooiste is” (“That She’s the Most Beautiful One”) and “Wees gerust” (“Be At Ease”).
