The story behind Chérine
Chérine, a talented singer-songwriter from Belgium, started writing poems in her homemade sticker books at a young age. These poems grew into songs and led her to a career as a songwriter, primarily writing for other artists such as Luka Cruysberghs and Dutch singer Emma Heesters. Gradually, she opened up as a singer herself after singing her own demos.
As a participant in both The Voice of Flanders and The Voice of France, encouraged by her bilingual upbringing and her love for both English and Dutch but especially French, Chérine discovered her passion for singing and performing. Participating in The Voice of France was a turning point, where she was inspired by the music scene in Paris and decided to pursue her own career as an artist, writing her own songs mainly in French.
In 2022, she participated in MNM Rising Star, which earned her a spot in the MNM TOP50 and fueled her dream of one day participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. Although she did not win at Eurosong Belgium, where she took her first step towards Eurovision, she cherishes the fantastic experience and is currently working on new music, including her song "ça m’ennuie pas" which has already gained recognition in the MNM TOP50 and for which she made her first music video.
